Health Policy and Environmental Change Workgroup
Develops action related to the recommendations in the Policy and Environmental Change: New Directions in Public Health report. Committee members and others designated by the committee are available to make presentations regarding the results of the study and current activities of the workgroup.

Minority Health Workgroup
The Minority Health Work Group's mission is to diminish the health disparities between the total population and minority groups. The Work Group's efforts are focused in providing leadership to national, state, local, and territorial health organization in addressing public health issues of racial and ethnic minority populations through health education and health promotion.

School Health Workgroup
The School Health Work Group's mission is to build the capacity of DHPE and state health agencies to support coordinated school health programs (CSHP) in school settings to reduce priority risk behaviors and promote health behaviors among youth. The effort focuses primarily on physical activity, nutrition, and tobacco prevention among youth through the use of the CSHP model.

Website Review Group
To oversee a contract, with American Institutes for Research - Prospect Center, to redesign the DHPE website, and make it more useful and interactive for members and partners of the organization.
