Program Activities

Public Health Education Leadership Institute (PHELI)

The Public Health Education Leadership Institute is a collaborative project with several health education associations. Funding for this initiative was first provided to DHPE by CDC in 1997. DHPE contracted with St. Louis University School of Public Health to develop a one-year training curriculum. The training includes three on-site visits, substantial assigned reading throughout the year and a leadership project to be completed. The first class graduated in 1999.
