How do I join the online community?
Welcome! Select REGISTER in the upper right. Select the member type you’d like. DHPE memberships provide members-only benefits. We also have limited access with a Community Non-member type. Continue through the forms to create your profile.
How do I log in if I’m a current DHPE Member?
Your initial login will be emailed to you by DHPE. After you log in, you need to change your username and password to suit your needs and security under MANAGE PROFILE - EDIT BIO.
What is the first thing I should do when I log into the website the first time?
The first time you log in you will be taken to the MEMBER PREFERENCES page where you can manage several settings within the site. Once this is completed, you should check that all your profile information is complete and accurate. Explore the tools within your profile under MANAGE PROFILE.
How often will I need to update my profile?
Update your profile anytime your contact or other information changes under MANAGE PROFILE - EDIT BIO.
What are some of the features of the new website?

On the left side of the screen is the main navigation for the website and within the navigation, new networking tools and groups are available throughout. On the right side of the screen, once you are logged in as a member, under MANAGE PROFILE you will see all of the features available.
Profile Home: this will take you to your personal home page, which will show your public profile, your message wall and your public bio.
Mange profile: This is where you can edit your profile, including your username and password. You can also edit your profile options, including what elements of your profile are viewable by the rest of the community.
Groups: This page will list the groups you are a member of and the ones you can join.
Networks: Share other networks you participate in such as FaceBook, LinkedIn, or Twitter
Files and Links: Upload documents and links to share
Favorites: Bookmark your favorite pages throughout the site. Add to the list by selecting star in the upper-right hand of a page you want to add.
Messages: Message and receive messages from community members.
Connections: Create a connection other member profiles.
Certifications: List your certifications.
Refer a Colleague: Know someone who should be part of the community
How do I renew my DHPE membership?
Click on REGISTER at the top right hand side of the screen. If your membership has expired, you will be prompted to renew when you try to log in.
How do I get help if I need it?
You can click on the Contact Us button in the upper right hand side of the screen or email us. We also welcome phone calls at 202-659-2230 but in order to best serve your needs, we can triage your question for quicker response off-hours by using the Contact Us. We will respond within 72 business hours.
Opting Out of Receiving Communications and Being Listed in the Member Directory
DHPE gives users the following options for removing their information from our online member directory or to discontinue receiving future communications.
1. When creating or updating an online profile.
2. Select the automatic remove-me or unsubscribe option in any emails sent by DHPE.
