Join DHPE and APA in Observing Bike Month to Promote Active Transportation

May is Bike Month and May 20th marks the end of Bike to Work Week, which is sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists. DHPE and National Implementation Partner, the American Planning Association (APA), working together this month to help promote bicycling as an active mode of transportation to help increase physical activity and maintaining a healthier lifestyle by highlighting local efforts promoting active transportation.

APA has several coalitions around the country changing policies and environments in their communities to make biking an easier and safer transportation option. Learn more about the APA coalitions in these locations:

Columbus, IN

Nashua, NH

Bensenville, IL

Ajo, AZ

Baltimore, MD
