New Resource: Promoting and Supporting School Salad Bars – A New Action Guide for State Health Practitioners

Improving access to fruits and vegetables can help increase the amount people eat. With most U.S. children attending school daily, schools are in a good position to influence children’s healthy eating habits. Salad bars are one way to offer kids a wide variety of quality fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. State health departments can be instrumental in ensuring the success of school salad bars.

A new guide, Promoting and Supporting School Salad Bars: An Action Guide for State Health Practitioners, was created for state public health practitioners and other groups who might be interested in getting more salad bars placed in schools.
