During the 2015 Annual Meeting of the American Public Health Association (APHA), DHPE Communications Manager Thometta Cozart was inducted as a board member of the Black Caucus of Health Workers (BCHW) in Chicago, Illinois. Her term as a general board member will end in 2017.

The BCHW strives to achieve the organization’s mission to eliminate disparities and reduce gaps in health and health outcomes by improving the quality of life for people of African descent through advocacy, knowledge, practice and research.
