Spring 2015 DHPE Intern LaShaundra Everhart has been awarded an OakRidge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Fellowship to extend her internship position with the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP), Division of Population Health, Coordinated State Support Branchin Atlanta, Georgia.

Everhart’s project with the NCCDPHP Coordinated State Support Branch focused on The State Innovations Project, which aimed at building capacity of state health departments in implementing chronic disease prevention programs, through sharing best practices.
Everhart graduated in the fall of 2014 from Clayton State University in Morrow, GA with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management. She plans to pursue a master’s degree in public health (MPH).
