TheUniversity of South Florida (USF) Chapter of Eta Sigma Gamma (ESG), a national public health fraternity, invited DHPE Internship & Fellowship Manager Thometta Cozart, who is also an alum of USF College of Public Health, to speak to their group. USF is an emerging Hispanic-Serving Institution, with 20% Hispanic student enrollment. DHPE staff presented about DHPE, membership benefits for students, Shaping Policy for Health Trainings, Consumer Market Analysis Projects and the Internship Program. There were approximately 35 students and staff who attended the presentation. Nearly 30 students signed-up to receive additional information from DHPE.
