Former DHPE Intern Jenisha Henneghanis currently work at Triangle J Area Agency on Aging(AAA) in Durham, North Carolina; the site where she completed her 2014 Summer Internship.
“It is a start to getting experience in the aging field,” stated MPH graduate of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida.
She is beginning trained as a Local Contact Agency Options Counselor to help older adults in long-term care transition back to the community with the appropriate resources and assistance. Henneghan would assist Triangle J AAA with the expansion of its Evidence-Based Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Program, along with its Veteran’s Directed Home and Community-Based Services Program.
“I’m excited to be able to continue my relationship with the agency and be afforded the opportunity to gain more knowledge and experience about the aging population,” concluded Henneghan.
