New Community Preventive Services Task Force Recommendations: Recently, the Community Preventive Services Task Force (for which CDC provides research and administrative support) produced findings including:

· Diabetes Prevention and Control: Combined Diet and Physical Activity Promotion Programs to Prevent Type 2 Diabetes Among People at Increased Risk: The Task Force recommended combined diet and physical activity promotion programs for people at increased risk of type 2 diabetes based on strong evidence of effectiveness in reducing new-onset diabetes.

· Obesity Prevention and Control: Behavioral Interventions that Aim to Reduce Recreational Sedentary Screen Time Among Children: The Task Force recommended behavioral interventions to reduce recreational sedentary screen time among children 13 years and younger based on strong evidence of effectiveness in reducing recreational sedentary screen time, increasing physical activity, improving diet, and improving or maintaining weight-related outcomes.
