Next session of CDC’s Public Health Grand Rounds

"Preventing a Million Heart Attacks and Strokes: A Turning Point for Impact” on Tuesday,September 16,at 1 p.m. (EDT). Since launching in 2012, Million Hearts® Campaign has captured the support of many individuals and organizations, and has inspired bold collaborations across federal agencies. This session of Grand Rounds will describe some of progress to date. Presentations include Massachusetts Department of Public Health regarding how they changed tactics in response to budget cuts and are continuing to accelerate their tobacco control efforts, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health about the progress and impact they have been making in sodium reduction focusing on the power of procurement, and Dr. Andrew Tremblay, a Hypertension Control Challenge Champion, on what it took to see significant improvements in hypertension control.
