The Student Health Advocacy
Coalition (SHAC) is a coalition of national organizations dedicated to
improving the health and well-being of all preK-12 children and youth through
collective advocacy and policy change at the federal level.
The Goals of SHAC Are:
To promote the health, well-being, and academic
success of preK-12 children and youth with a focus on the connections between
health and learning.
To develop and sustain a network of
organizations who support the health, well-being, and academic success of
preK-12 children and youth.
To engage national leaders to support policies
that promote school-based health and wellness programs and initiatives that
contribute to academic success.
