In May 2012, the groundbreaking multi-part documentary series The Weight of the Nation explored the facts and myths of the obesity epidemic in the U.S., taking an unflinching look at the severity of the crisis and its crippling effects on the nation's health and health care. The Weight of the Nation for Kids is a family-friendly three-part series of half-hour specials for young people spotlighting decisions children and their families can make to improve their health now and in the future. Directed by Emmy® winners Shari Cookson and Nick Doob, the second and third parts of the series, Kebreeya's Salad Days and Quiz Ed!, debut back-to-back Tuesday, May 7 (5:30-6:30 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO, followed by an encore play of the first Weight of the Nation for Kids special, 2012's Emmy®-nominated The Great Cafeteria Takeover, at 6:30 p.m. All films will be available in English and Spanish, and will also stream free of charge on http://hbo.com/weightofthenation and http://iom.edu/weightofthenation
