Britney HadnotI am a first doctoral student at Howard University studying School Psychology. I previously attended the University of Houston in Houston, Texas and completed my B.S. degree in Psychology/Human Development. My background is in the field of human services, primarily within special education & learning disorders. My current research interests are with adolescents diagnosed with depression and anxiety, and how such conditions affect academic success.

What intrigued me to the field of public health was the fact that it is broad and encompasses the mental, physical, and emotional health of an individual. I feel as though by obtaining an internship with DHPE it is preparing me for my future endeavors as a Psychologist primarily within the school system. It will also provide me with an in depth view into the realm of health policy and school health.

Brittney is completing her internship at DHPE in Washington, DC and providing support to the Director of Health Equity and Manager of the Internship and Fellowship Program.
