On December 17 and 18, 2012, the DC DOH hosted Shaping Policy for Health Training™ Course 2: Using Policy Analysis Tools. The SPH ™ curriculum developers, Carolyn Crump, PhD, and James Emery, MPH, of the University of North Carolina's Gillings School of Global Public Health (UNC) taught this intensive 2-day training . In addition to the DC DOH staff, five of the SPH™ National Cadre of Trainers and staff from DHPE also participated. The training afforded the opportunity for spirited dialogue about the case studies, policy analysis tools and current events.
