Telemedicine has the potential to advance health equity by increasing access to primary and specialty care for underserved populations. Despite the increasing evidence base establishing the effectiveness of telemedicine, a number of policy and practice barriers have slowed its widespread adoption. This webinar will examine telemedicine utilization in Georgia and provide a case study for how telemedicine is being used to reduce health disparities through the Mercy Care Street Medicine program.

Learning Objectives:
1) Evaluate the impact of telemedicine on increasing access to health care services for underserved populations;
2) Differential between the policy and practice factors that influence telemedicine adoption and utilization; and
3) Critique a practical example of telemedicine being used to advance health equity
