Join us for a webinar on how to effectively promote the National Health Observances (NHOs) related to nutrition, physical activity, tobacco use and exposure, and community-clinical linkages. The National Health Observances are a way to get messages out to consumers and public health professionals alike about specific health topics — while also highlighting the great work your organization is doing. By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

• Describe how NHOs can be used to “surge” public health messages
• Identify channels that are best for their target audience(s)
• Tailor NHO messages for their target audience(s)

Featured Speakers:

• Amy Behrens, MS, Senior Editor at CommunicateHealth, is a dedicated health communication professional with over 12 years of experience. She is well versed in public health messaging, writing for behavior change, campaign development, and program and message evaluation. Amy specializes in communication with underserved populations and public health professionals. Best practices in health education, user-centered design, health literacy, and plain language are incorporated into every aspect of her work.
• Blythe Miller, Editor at CommunicateHealth, is a seasoned health writer and editor specializing in plain language communication and committed to creating easy-to-understand content for any audience. She has extensive experience developing original health-related content for multiple social media channels on behalf of both federal and non-federal clients. She loves the challenge of thinking through social media strategy, focusing on ways to increase user engagement and drive traffic to our client’s content. Blythe is an MPH candidate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
