Look for the session entitled: Healthy People 2020 Progress Review
Koh, the Assistant Secretary for Health, will introduce the session and be
followed by an CDC/NCHS representative providing key data related to older
adult health. Three federal agency representatives (from NIA, ACL, and CDC)
will then speak; Wayne Giles will be speaking for CDC. For those of you
who assisted with content for Wayne’s presentation, many thanks!
then be presentations by Susan Snyder of Senior Services (Seattle/King County)
and Nichole Shepard from Salt Lake County Aging and Adult Services to provide
community-based perspectives. There will be an opportunity for questions
from the audience following all presentations.
The review will be in D.C. In addition to the physical audience present, we
understand that there are over 2,000 phone lines through which people can
participate. We’d like to ensure we get as large an audience as possible
for this important event, thus sending a strong message of the broad interest
in and support for older adult health.
