Prevention Institute invites you to attend the release of The National Prevention Council Action Plan with U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Regina Benjamin, on Wednesday June 13th in Sacramento. The Action Plan details the next steps in the federal implementation of the National Prevention Strategy – a comprehensive plan designed to help keep Americans healthy in the first place. Created by the National Prevention, Health Promotion, and Public Health Council, The National Prevention Strategy is an unprecedented opportunity to shift the nation from a focus on sickness and disease to one based on prevention and wellness. It emphasizes the critical role of multi-sector efforts to advance health, equity and well-being.

Prevention Institute is honored to co-host this event with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Region IX, Secretary Diana Dooley of the California Health and Human Services Agency, and The California Endowment.

To attend, please RSVP to Region9ord@hhs.gov. We anticipate a brief opportunity for comments.

Can't make it in person? We'll be livetweeting the event from @preventioninst - follow along for updates, quotes and more.
