ASTHO/NACCHO Webinar: TXT4Health
Tuesday, April 10
2:00 – 3:00 PM ET

Join the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-HIT), HHS Beacon communities from New Orleans and Detroit, and Voxiva, to learn about a new mobile health initiative to raise diabetes risk awareness, fight obesity and improve your community health engagement. Txt4health, developed in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA), uses text messages to reach the broadest audience possible and help individuals better understand their risks for type 2 diabetes, get connected to local resources, and take steps to live healthier lives. The service also provides a communication channel for public health agencies to send customized messages in order to direct participants to local services and resources.

This webinar will provide the opportunity to hear from two Beacon implementation sites that have recently launched this program. Speakers will highlight their launch strategies from the initial concept stage to funding, enrollment, as well as their evaluation plans.

The webinar will be held April 10th from 2-3 PM EDT.
