Arthritis

Collaboration with CDC's Arthritis Program has led DHPE to addressing this top cause of disability. Arthritis projects include needs assessment of state arthritis programs, training through satellite conferences and web-based learning, and collaboration on arthritis program directions. Working with the Alabama Department of Public Health's Video Communications Unit, DHPE has produced arthritis satellite conferences on physical activity and health communications that have been viewed by thousands of people. Recent activities include developing a training plan with input from state arthritis coordinators.
