Rose Marie Matulionis has been  the Executive Director of the Directors of Health Promotion and Education since 1996.  She has a master of science in public health from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She has experience working in both local health agencies, state health departments and Human Services agencies.  .

Prior to her employment with DHPE, she served as the program director for the Association of Teachers of Preventive Medicine.
